To The Family of Joseph McCarthy
I am very sorry to hear of the death of Professor McCarthy whom I had the greatest admiration. It was an honor and privilege to have known him as a teacher and mentor.
As a new foreign student trying to adjust and pursue my graduate program at Fordham,I was at the receiving end of his encouragement and assistance. He was a humanist with all what the word implies.
My condolences and deepest sympathy for his family.

To the Family of Joe McCarthy,
It was with great sadness that I heard of the death of Joe. I had the opportunity to visit him in April and he was the same person I remembered who did so much for Sacred Heart School in New Haven, CT. His wit, his charm and the wonderful amount of knowledge were some of the gifts he gave to us at Sacred Heart. He will be greatly missed but he is eternally happy with his wife, Marge.
My prayers to all his children and family members. May he rest in peace.
God Bless.
Sr. Christian Price, ASCJ
Former Principal of Sacred Heart School

Please accept our deepest sympathies in the passing of your Dad, Joe. We moved to Long Hill Farm in 1983 and knew both your parents for a very long time, at parties, around the community and at our home. He was always so witty and kind, and always had a good word to say about everyone. A true gentleman in every sense of the word. May God bless all of your. I know he is reunited with his Marge and both of them are smiling down upon their numerous friends and wonderful family.
Sincerely, Arlene and Jim Parsons
