In West Haven Veteran’s Hospital, Monday, August 6, 2012, Steven DiPier, 83, of Guilford and formely of Madison, passed away surrounded by his loving family. Loving friend of Virginia F. DiPier. Born in New Haven on January 23, 1929, son of Pauline Raponi DiPierdomenico of Scottsboro, AL and the late Louis DiPierdomenico. Beloved father and friend of Luanne Eibon of Newton, NJ and Lisa Smith of Scottsboro, AL. Grandfather of Robert Eibon of Shohola, PA, Elizabeth Baldwin of Hamburg, NJ and Amanda Eibon of Andover, NJ. Great grandfather of Stella Baldwin and Aurora Eibon. Brother of Louis DiPierdomenico of PA and brother “by choice” Sam Grestini of West Haven.
Mr. DiPier served his country in US Army during the Korean War. Steven worked as the Building Official for the City of West Haven from 1982 – 1988 and as a Builder and Owner of Steven DiPier Building Co. He was also a member (from 1969 – present) and past Master of Mason Lodge of New Haven in 1976.
