Name: Marie Helene Rich Burkle Dates: Birth date: October 25, 1924 Death date: August 5, 2012 Obituary: Marie Helene Rich Burkle, 87, formerly of Guilford Lakes, wife of Edmund “Dutch” Burkle, died peacefully on August 5, 2012 surrounded by her beloved family. Marie was born in Derby, CT. Marie was predeceased by her son, Dutchie Jr. and her grandson, Kevin. Marie is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dutch, and her children Robert, Gary, Patrick, and Kurt Burkle, and Betsy Burkle Christensen and their families with a total of 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call on Tuesday, August 7th from 6 - 8PM at the Guilford Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. George’s Catholic Church in Guilford CT at 10AM on Wednesday, August 8th. Burial will follow in Nut Plains Cemetery.
